About AVJ will fixit

Based in Scotch Plains, NJ, AVJ will fixit works as a handyman service. The business has been operating for 6 years. Handyman work covers the small repairs and installs that pile up around a house but rarely justify calling a specialty trade. A single visit often bundles several items, such as patching a wall, rehanging a door, and mounting a shelf, so the homeowner clears a whole list in one trip instead of scheduling several.

Common requests for handyman work include grab bar installation, replacing light fixtures, fixing sticky drawers, hanging shelves and mirrors and weatherstripping doors. AVJ will fixit is also listed for cabinet installation, door repair, finish carpentry and furniture assembly.

Moving in, preparing a home for sale, or getting ready for holiday guests often surfaces loose fixtures, scuffed walls, dripping caulk lines, and doors that stick. List every task in one message with a photo of each item, so the visit can be planned properly and the right materials brought along on the first trip. Handyman pricing usually depends on the number of tasks on the list, the time each one takes, and whether materials must be supplied or are already on hand.

Customers in Scotch Plains and nearby areas such as Fanwood, Plainfield and Westfield can request a quote. Posted hours are Monday to Sunday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Accepted payment methods include Apple Pay, Cash, Check, PayPal, Venmo and Zelle. To get started, send AVJ will fixit a request on Fixerlane with the details of your project.
