Beau Wilt

About Beau Wilt

Based in Layton, UT, Beau Wilt works as a hardwood flooring contractor. The business has been operating for 26 years. Hardwood installation starts with checking the subfloor for flatness and moisture, then laying underlayment and planks in the right direction for the room. Boards are nailed, glued, or floated depending on the product, and trim is set last to cover the expansion gaps left along the walls.

Typical jobs for hardwood floor installation in Layton include engineered hardwood over concrete, old carpet removal before install, solid oak plank installation, transition strips and thresholds and nail-down floors over plywood subfloors. Beau Wilt is also listed for carpet installation, hardwood floor refinishing and junk removal.

Worn carpet, damaged laminate, or a planned sale often prompts a switch to hardwood, especially in living rooms, hallways, and bedrooms that see daily foot traffic. Share the target timeline, any known squeaks or soft spots, and how rooms connect so transitions to tile, vinyl, or carpet can be planned ahead of time. Removal and disposal of old flooring, furniture moving, and trim work affect the total, along with the number of rooms, closets, and cuts involved.
