About BY THE SEA PROFESSIONAL SERVICES INC.

Based in Middle Island, NY, BY THE SEA PROFESSIONAL SERVICES INC. works as a hardwood flooring contractor. The business has been operating for 12 years with a team of 14. Expect furniture to be moved, old flooring pulled, and the subfloor fixed where it squeaks or dips. Installation then moves room by room, with cuts around vents and door casings, followed by thresholds, stair nosing, and molding for a clean finished edge where the floor meets other surfaces.

Common requests for hardwood floor installation include nail-down floors over plywood subfloors, wide-plank flooring, engineered hardwood over concrete, stair tread and riser installation and herringbone pattern floors.

Allergies, pets, or a desire for a floor that can be sanded and refinished later lead many homeowners to replace soft flooring with real wood. Provide square footage for each room, the current flooring type, and whether stairs are included. Note if the floor sits on a concrete slab or a wood subfloor. Removal and disposal of old flooring, furniture moving, and trim work affect the total, along with the number of rooms, closets, and cuts involved.
