CALBA

About CALBA

CALBA is a handyman service serving Brooklyn, NY. A team of 12, the business has been operating for 7 years. Around Brooklyn, homeowners often use handyman help for the in-between jobs: a door that no longer latches, a cracked tile near a threshold, a wobbly stair railing, or new hardware on old cabinets. The work tends to be quick, practical, and focused on making things function properly and look tidy again.

Typical jobs for handyman work in Brooklyn include cabinet hardware replacement, caulking tubs and sinks, weatherstripping doors, hanging shelves and mirrors and replacing light fixtures. CALBA is also listed for cabinet installation, fitness equipment assembly, furniture assembly and interior painting.

Doors that will not close, dents in drywall, peeling bathroom caulk, and shelves that wobble under weight are typical triggers for a general repair call. Include ceiling heights, the wall type if known, and access notes like pets, parking, or gate codes so the visit can keep moving without delays. Travel distance, the complexity of each job, and whether a task needs a second trip for special-order parts are the main drivers behind a handyman quote.

Besides Brooklyn, homeowners in Staten Island, Rockaway Park and Manhattan can reach out for handyman work. Posted hours are Monday, Saturday and Sunday. Accepted payment methods include Cash, Check, PayPal, Venmo and Zelle. To get started, send CALBA a request on Fixerlane with the details of your project.
