About Custom Design

Custom Design provides hardwood floor installation in Agoura Hills, CA. A team of 12, the business has been operating for 27 years. Homeowners choose between solid hardwood, which can be sanded many times, and engineered boards, which handle basements and concrete slabs better. The installer helps match product to the space, lets the wood acclimate inside the home, and plans layouts that avoid awkward slivers at doorways and hallways.

On their profile, Custom Design lists install type: laminate, linoleum, vinyl sheet, luxury vinyl flooring and engineered hardwood; property type: residential and commercial. Custom Design is also listed for carpet installation.

Allergies, pets, or a desire for a floor that can be sanded and refinished later lead many homeowners to replace soft flooring with real wood. Share the target timeline, any known squeaks or soft spots, and how rooms connect so transitions to tile, vinyl, or carpet can be planned ahead of time. Wood species, plank width, and solid versus engineered construction set the material cost. Subfloor repair, stairs, and pattern layouts like herringbone add labor.
