Direct Floor Source

About Direct Floor Source

Based in Clarksville, IN, Direct Floor Source works as a hardwood flooring contractor. The business has been operating for 4 years with a team of 8. Hardwood installation starts with checking the subfloor for flatness and moisture, then laying underlayment and planks in the right direction for the room. Boards are nailed, glued, or floated depending on the product, and trim is set last to cover the expansion gaps left along the walls.

Common requests for hardwood floor installation include engineered hardwood over concrete, subfloor leveling, nail-down floors over plywood subfloors, baseboard and shoe molding reinstall and stair tread and riser installation. Direct Floor Source is also listed for carpet installation.

Allergies, pets, or a desire for a floor that can be sanded and refinished later lead many homeowners to replace soft flooring with real wood. Photos of each room, the chosen wood species or product, and whether furniture moving and old floor removal are needed help an installer quote accurately. Wood species, plank width, and solid versus engineered construction set the material cost. Subfloor repair, stairs, and pattern layouts like herringbone add labor.

Besides Clarksville, homeowners in Jeffersonville, New Albany and Sellersburg can reach out for hardwood floor installation. Posted hours are Monday to Saturday. Request a quote from Direct Floor Source on Fixerlane and describe the job you need done.
