About Downsouth Flooring & Remodeling

Downsouth Flooring & Remodeling is a hardwood flooring contractor serving Bay Minette, AL. The business has been operating for 7 years with a team of 2. Homeowners choose between solid hardwood, which can be sanded many times, and engineered boards, which handle basements and concrete slabs better. The installer helps match product to the space, lets the wood acclimate inside the home, and plans layouts that avoid awkward slivers at doorways and hallways.

Typical jobs for hardwood floor installation in Bay Minette include herringbone pattern floors, unfinished floors finished on site, stair tread and riser installation, baseboard and shoe molding reinstall and old carpet removal before install. Downsouth Flooring & Remodeling is also listed for hardwood floor refinishing and interior painting.

Worn carpet, damaged laminate, or a planned sale often prompts a switch to hardwood, especially in living rooms, hallways, and bedrooms that see daily foot traffic. Provide square footage for each room, the current flooring type, and whether stairs are included. Note if the floor sits on a concrete slab or a wood subfloor. Wood species, plank width, and solid versus engineered construction set the material cost. Subfloor repair, stairs, and pattern layouts like herringbone add labor.
