Elijah Johnson

About Elijah Johnson

Based in Scottsville, VA, Elijah Johnson works as a hardwood flooring contractor. A team of 2, the business has been operating for 5 years. Expect furniture to be moved, old flooring pulled, and the subfloor fixed where it squeaks or dips. Installation then moves room by room, with cuts around vents and door casings, followed by thresholds, stair nosing, and molding for a clean finished edge where the floor meets other surfaces.

Common requests for hardwood floor installation include floating hardwood floors, transition strips and thresholds, stair tread and riser installation, engineered hardwood over concrete and wide-plank flooring. Elijah Johnson is also listed for interior painting.

Allergies, pets, or a desire for a floor that can be sanded and refinished later lead many homeowners to replace soft flooring with real wood. Provide square footage for each room, the current flooring type, and whether stairs are included. Note if the floor sits on a concrete slab or a wood subfloor. Wood species, plank width, and solid versus engineered construction set the material cost. Subfloor repair, stairs, and pattern layouts like herringbone add labor.
