About FloorCraft Construction

FloorCraft Construction is a hardwood floor installer serving Nashville, NC. A team of 2, the business has been operating for 21 years. Hardwood installation starts with checking the subfloor for flatness and moisture, then laying underlayment and planks in the right direction for the room. Boards are nailed, glued, or floated depending on the product, and trim is set last to cover the expansion gaps left along the walls.

Common requests for hardwood floor installation include unfinished floors finished on site, solid oak plank installation, wide-plank flooring, stair tread and riser installation and old carpet removal before install. FloorCraft Construction is also listed for carpet installation and handyman.

Worn carpet, damaged laminate, or a planned sale often prompts a switch to hardwood, especially in living rooms, hallways, and bedrooms that see daily foot traffic. Provide square footage for each room, the current flooring type, and whether stairs are included. Note if the floor sits on a concrete slab or a wood subfloor. Wood species, plank width, and solid versus engineered construction set the material cost. Subfloor repair, stairs, and pattern layouts like herringbone add labor.
