Flooring Fellas

About Flooring Fellas

Based in Cedar Rapids, IA, Flooring Fellas works as a hardwood flooring contractor. It has been in business for 9 years. Hardwood installation starts with checking the subfloor for flatness and moisture, then laying underlayment and planks in the right direction for the room. Boards are nailed, glued, or floated depending on the product, and trim is set last to cover the expansion gaps left along the walls.

Typical jobs for hardwood floor installation in Cedar Rapids include wide-plank flooring, transition strips and thresholds, unfinished floors finished on site, stair tread and riser installation and old carpet removal before install. Flooring Fellas is also listed for hardwood floor refinishing and window installation.

Worn carpet, damaged laminate, or a planned sale often prompts a switch to hardwood, especially in living rooms, hallways, and bedrooms that see daily foot traffic. Share the target timeline, any known squeaks or soft spots, and how rooms connect so transitions to tile, vinyl, or carpet can be planned ahead of time. Removal and disposal of old flooring, furniture moving, and trim work affect the total, along with the number of rooms, closets, and cuts involved.

Customers in Cedar Rapids and nearby areas such as North Liberty, Marion and Tiffin can request a quote. To get started, send Flooring Fellas a request on Fixerlane with the details of your project.
