FM General Contractor

About FM General Contractor

Based in Needham Heights, MA, FM General Contractor works as a hardwood floor installer. The business has been operating for 9 years with a team of 6. Expect furniture to be moved, old flooring pulled, and the subfloor fixed where it squeaks or dips. Installation then moves room by room, with cuts around vents and door casings, followed by thresholds, stair nosing, and molding for a clean finished edge where the floor meets other surfaces.

Typical jobs for hardwood floor installation in Needham Heights include floating hardwood floors, wide-plank flooring, nail-down floors over plywood subfloors, herringbone pattern floors and transition strips and thresholds. FM General Contractor is also listed for countertop installation and hardwood floor refinishing.

Allergies, pets, or a desire for a floor that can be sanded and refinished later lead many homeowners to replace soft flooring with real wood. Provide square footage for each room, the current flooring type, and whether stairs are included. Note if the floor sits on a concrete slab or a wood subfloor. Removal and disposal of old flooring, furniture moving, and trim work affect the total, along with the number of rooms, closets, and cuts involved.
