About Footprints Floors MetroWest

Footprints Floors MetroWest is a hardwood floor refinisher serving Needham, MA. A team of 50, the business has been operating for 18 years. Not every floor needs a full sand. Floors with light surface wear can often be buffed and recoated, while deep scratches, gray water damage, or a color change call for sanding to bare wood. Damaged boards may be replaced and blended in before finishing.

Typical jobs for hardwood floor refinishing in Needham include buff and recoat, buffing out surface scratches, oil-based polyurethane finish, pet stain board replacement and refinishing floors found under old carpet.

Homeowners often refinish when uncovering hardwood under old carpet, changing the floor color, or preparing a house for sale or new occupants. Mention pets, when the rooms can be fully emptied, and whether you prefer a water-based or oil-based finish, if known. Cost depends on square footage, floor condition, whether stain is applied, the number of finish coats, and any board repairs or stairs.
