Fredis floor covering

About Fredis floor covering

Fredis floor covering provides hardwood floor installation in Islandia, NY. A team of 2, the business has been operating for 8 years. Expect furniture to be moved, old flooring pulled, and the subfloor fixed where it squeaks or dips. Installation then moves room by room, with cuts around vents and door casings, followed by thresholds, stair nosing, and molding for a clean finished edge where the floor meets other surfaces.

Typical jobs for hardwood floor installation in Islandia include old carpet removal before install, stair tread and riser installation, herringbone pattern floors, subfloor leveling and nail-down floors over plywood subfloors. Fredis floor covering is also listed for carpet installation, countertop installation and handyman.

Allergies, pets, or a desire for a floor that can be sanded and refinished later lead many homeowners to replace soft flooring with real wood. Share the target timeline, any known squeaks or soft spots, and how rooms connect so transitions to tile, vinyl, or carpet can be planned ahead of time. Wood species, plank width, and solid versus engineered construction set the material cost. Subfloor repair, stairs, and pattern layouts like herringbone add labor.

Besides Islandia, homeowners in Central Islip, Hauppauge and Bohemia can reach out for hardwood floor installation. Posted hours are Monday to Saturday, 12:00 am to 11:59 pm. To get started, send Fredis floor covering a request on Fixerlane with the details of your project.
