Handyman

About Handyman

Handyman is a hardwood flooring contractor serving Pahoa, HI. The business has been operating for 2 years. Homeowners choose between solid hardwood, which can be sanded many times, and engineered boards, which handle basements and concrete slabs better. The installer helps match product to the space, lets the wood acclimate inside the home, and plans layouts that avoid awkward slivers at doorways and hallways.

Typical jobs for hardwood floor installation in Pahoa include stair tread and riser installation, herringbone pattern floors, baseboard and shoe molding reinstall, solid oak plank installation and unfinished floors finished on site. Handyman is also listed for exterior painting and handyman.

Squeaky or uneven subfloors, water-damaged sections, or a remodel that opens up walls between rooms are common triggers for new hardwood installation. Provide square footage for each room, the current flooring type, and whether stairs are included. Note if the floor sits on a concrete slab or a wood subfloor. Wood species, plank width, and solid versus engineered construction set the material cost. Subfloor repair, stairs, and pattern layouts like herringbone add labor.
