About Hernandez Construction and Demolition

Hernandez Construction and Demolition provides hardwood floor installation in Alvarado, TX. A team of 2, the business has been operating for 4 years. Hardwood installation starts with checking the subfloor for flatness and moisture, then laying underlayment and planks in the right direction for the room. Boards are nailed, glued, or floated depending on the product, and trim is set last to cover the expansion gaps left along the walls.

Common requests for hardwood floor installation include subfloor leveling, transition strips and thresholds, stair tread and riser installation, herringbone pattern floors and unfinished floors finished on site. Hernandez Construction and Demolition is also listed for carpet installation, countertop installation and hardwood floor refinishing.

Allergies, pets, or a desire for a floor that can be sanded and refinished later lead many homeowners to replace soft flooring with real wood. Provide square footage for each room, the current flooring type, and whether stairs are included. Note if the floor sits on a concrete slab or a wood subfloor. Wood species, plank width, and solid versus engineered construction set the material cost. Subfloor repair, stairs, and pattern layouts like herringbone add labor.
