About Home Improvement and More

Home Improvement and More is a hardwood floor installer serving Irmo, SC. The business has been operating for 4 years with a team of 2. Expect furniture to be moved, old flooring pulled, and the subfloor fixed where it squeaks or dips. Installation then moves room by room, with cuts around vents and door casings, followed by thresholds, stair nosing, and molding for a clean finished edge where the floor meets other surfaces.

Typical jobs for hardwood floor installation in Irmo include unfinished floors finished on site, nail-down floors over plywood subfloors, floating hardwood floors, herringbone pattern floors and solid oak plank installation. Home Improvement and More is also listed for hardwood floor refinishing.

Worn carpet, damaged laminate, or a planned sale often prompts a switch to hardwood, especially in living rooms, hallways, and bedrooms that see daily foot traffic. Photos of each room, the chosen wood species or product, and whether furniture moving and old floor removal are needed help an installer quote accurately. Removal and disposal of old flooring, furniture moving, and trim work affect the total, along with the number of rooms, closets, and cuts involved.

Customers in Irmo and nearby areas such as Chapin, West Columbia and Blythewood can request a quote. Posted hours are Monday to Saturday, 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. To get started, send Home Improvement and More a request on Fixerlane with the details of your project.
