About J and L Home Improvements

J and L Home Improvements is a hardwood floor installer serving Olanta, SC. The business has been operating for 29 years. Expect furniture to be moved, old flooring pulled, and the subfloor fixed where it squeaks or dips. Installation then moves room by room, with cuts around vents and door casings, followed by thresholds, stair nosing, and molding for a clean finished edge where the floor meets other surfaces.

Common requests for hardwood floor installation include engineered hardwood over concrete, solid oak plank installation, old carpet removal before install, nail-down floors over plywood subfloors and unfinished floors finished on site. J and L Home Improvements is also listed for cabinet installation, countertop installation, dishwasher installation and dog fence installation.

Squeaky or uneven subfloors, water-damaged sections, or a remodel that opens up walls between rooms are common triggers for new hardwood installation. Photos of each room, the chosen wood species or product, and whether furniture moving and old floor removal are needed help an installer quote accurately. Wood species, plank width, and solid versus engineered construction set the material cost. Subfloor repair, stairs, and pattern layouts like herringbone add labor.

Customers in Olanta and nearby areas such as Coward, Lake City and Effingham can request a quote. Posted hours are Monday to Sunday, 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. Request a quote from J and L Home Improvements on Fixerlane and describe the job you need done.
