About John b flooring

Based in Goffstown, NH, John b flooring works as a hardwood floor installer. A team of 3, the business has been operating for 36 years. Hardwood installation starts with checking the subfloor for flatness and moisture, then laying underlayment and planks in the right direction for the room. Boards are nailed, glued, or floated depending on the product, and trim is set last to cover the expansion gaps left along the walls.

Common requests for hardwood floor installation include wide-plank flooring, old carpet removal before install, transition strips and thresholds, stair tread and riser installation and nail-down floors over plywood subfloors. John b flooring is also listed for carpet installation.

Worn carpet, damaged laminate, or a planned sale often prompts a switch to hardwood, especially in living rooms, hallways, and bedrooms that see daily foot traffic. Provide square footage for each room, the current flooring type, and whether stairs are included. Note if the floor sits on a concrete slab or a wood subfloor. Wood species, plank width, and solid versus engineered construction set the material cost. Subfloor repair, stairs, and pattern layouts like herringbone add labor.
