About Landis Custom Tile
Landis Custom Tile is a tile installer serving Downingtown, PA. It has been in business for 2 years. Good tile starts under the surface. In wet areas, the installer uses cement backer board and a waterproofing layer before setting any tile. On floors, the base is checked for flex and flatness so tiles and grout lines do not crack later, and large-format tile gets extra attention to lippage.
On their profile, Landis Custom Tile lists tile type: ceramic, porcelain, natural stone and mosaic.
Hollow sounds when tapping a tile floor or mold along grout lines in a shower often mean the installation underneath needs attention. Mention whether tile is already purchased, the planned height of wall tile, and whether the floor is a concrete slab or wood framing. Showers and mosaics take more time than open floors. Natural stone sealing, custom niches, and many cuts around fixtures and outlets raise the price.
