Liliana Maldonado

About Liliana Maldonado

Based in Plantersville, TX, Liliana Maldonado works as a hardwood floor installer. A team of 4, the business has been operating for 13 years. Hardwood installation starts with checking the subfloor for flatness and moisture, then laying underlayment and planks in the right direction for the room. Boards are nailed, glued, or floated depending on the product, and trim is set last to cover the expansion gaps left along the walls.

Common requests for hardwood floor installation include old carpet removal before install, stair tread and riser installation, nail-down floors over plywood subfloors, floating hardwood floors and transition strips and thresholds.

Allergies, pets, or a desire for a floor that can be sanded and refinished later lead many homeowners to replace soft flooring with real wood. Provide square footage for each room, the current flooring type, and whether stairs are included. Note if the floor sits on a concrete slab or a wood subfloor. Wood species, plank width, and solid versus engineered construction set the material cost. Subfloor repair, stairs, and pattern layouts like herringbone add labor.
