Lofton Renovations

About Lofton Renovations

Lofton Renovations is a hardwood floor installer serving Wilmer, AL. The business has been operating for 8 years with a team of 5. Hardwood installation starts with checking the subfloor for flatness and moisture, then laying underlayment and planks in the right direction for the room. Boards are nailed, glued, or floated depending on the product, and trim is set last to cover the expansion gaps left along the walls.

Typical jobs for hardwood floor installation in Wilmer include engineered hardwood over concrete, nail-down floors over plywood subfloors, stair tread and riser installation, solid oak plank installation and baseboard and shoe molding reinstall.

Squeaky or uneven subfloors, water-damaged sections, or a remodel that opens up walls between rooms are common triggers for new hardwood installation. Share the target timeline, any known squeaks or soft spots, and how rooms connect so transitions to tile, vinyl, or carpet can be planned ahead of time. Removal and disposal of old flooring, furniture moving, and trim work affect the total, along with the number of rooms, closets, and cuts involved.
