About Matt Sword

Matt Sword is a hardwood floor installer serving Richmond, KY. The business has been operating for 47 years with a team of 2. Hardwood installation starts with checking the subfloor for flatness and moisture, then laying underlayment and planks in the right direction for the room. Boards are nailed, glued, or floated depending on the product, and trim is set last to cover the expansion gaps left along the walls.

Common requests for hardwood floor installation include engineered hardwood over concrete, floating hardwood floors, subfloor leveling, stair tread and riser installation and baseboard and shoe molding reinstall. Matt Sword is also listed for cabinet installation, countertop installation, dishwasher installation and door repair.

Worn carpet, damaged laminate, or a planned sale often prompts a switch to hardwood, especially in living rooms, hallways, and bedrooms that see daily foot traffic. Provide square footage for each room, the current flooring type, and whether stairs are included. Note if the floor sits on a concrete slab or a wood subfloor. Wood species, plank width, and solid versus engineered construction set the material cost. Subfloor repair, stairs, and pattern layouts like herringbone add labor.

Customers in Richmond and nearby areas such as Waco, Berea and Nicholasville can request a quote. Posted hours are Monday to Sunday, 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. Accepted payment methods include Cash, Check and PayPal. To get started, send Matt Sword a request on Fixerlane with the details of your project.
