About McIntosh Designs

McIntosh Designs is a hardwood floor installer serving Oxford, MI. The business has been operating for 1 year. Hardwood installation starts with checking the subfloor for flatness and moisture, then laying underlayment and planks in the right direction for the room. Boards are nailed, glued, or floated depending on the product, and trim is set last to cover the expansion gaps left along the walls.

Common requests for hardwood floor installation include stair tread and riser installation, engineered hardwood over concrete, baseboard and shoe molding reinstall, floating hardwood floors and unfinished floors finished on site. McIntosh Designs is also listed for handyman and hardwood floor refinishing.

Allergies, pets, or a desire for a floor that can be sanded and refinished later lead many homeowners to replace soft flooring with real wood. Photos of each room, the chosen wood species or product, and whether furniture moving and old floor removal are needed help an installer quote accurately. Wood species, plank width, and solid versus engineered construction set the material cost. Subfloor repair, stairs, and pattern layouts like herringbone add labor.

Customers in Oxford and nearby areas such as Ortonville, Oakland and Clarkston can request a quote. Posted hours are Monday to Saturday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Request a quote from McIntosh Designs on Fixerlane and describe the job you need done.
