MckenzieFlooring

About MckenzieFlooring

MckenzieFlooring is a hardwood floor installer serving Gautier, MS. The business has been operating for 13 years with a team of 3. Hardwood installation starts with checking the subfloor for flatness and moisture, then laying underlayment and planks in the right direction for the room. Boards are nailed, glued, or floated depending on the product, and trim is set last to cover the expansion gaps left along the walls.

Typical jobs for hardwood floor installation in Gautier include transition strips and thresholds, nail-down floors over plywood subfloors, subfloor leveling, engineered hardwood over concrete and stair tread and riser installation. MckenzieFlooring is also listed for carpet installation.

Worn carpet, damaged laminate, or a planned sale often prompts a switch to hardwood, especially in living rooms, hallways, and bedrooms that see daily foot traffic. Provide square footage for each room, the current flooring type, and whether stairs are included. Note if the floor sits on a concrete slab or a wood subfloor. Wood species, plank width, and solid versus engineered construction set the material cost. Subfloor repair, stairs, and pattern layouts like herringbone add labor.
