About My Tile Guy
Based in San Marcos, CA, My Tile Guy works as a tile installer. A team of 2, the business has been operating for 6 years. Tile work covers floors, walls, backsplashes, and showers. The installer prepares a flat, stable substrate, lays out the pattern to balance cuts at each wall, sets tile in thinset mortar, and finishes with grout and flexible caulk at inside corners and changes of plane where movement happens.
Common requests for tile installation include entryway tile floors, regrouting, fireplace surrounds, tub surround tiling and kitchen backsplashes.
Hollow sounds when tapping a tile floor or mold along grout lines in a shower often mean the installation underneath needs attention. Include the layout pattern, such as straight, offset, or herringbone, and details like niches, benches, curbless entries, or trim pieces for showers. Showers and mosaics take more time than open floors. Natural stone sealing, custom niches, and many cuts around fixtures and outlets raise the price.
Besides San Marcos, homeowners in Encinitas, Rancho Santa Fe and Carlsbad can reach out for tile installation. Accepted payment methods include Apple Pay, Cash, Check, Venmo and Zelle. To get started, send My Tile Guy a request on Fixerlane with the details of your project.
