About PrimeCoat & Floors

PrimeCoat & Floors provides hardwood floor installation in Garden City, NY. The business has been operating for 2 years with a team of 3. Expect furniture to be moved, old flooring pulled, and the subfloor fixed where it squeaks or dips. Installation then moves room by room, with cuts around vents and door casings, followed by thresholds, stair nosing, and molding for a clean finished edge where the floor meets other surfaces.

Common requests for hardwood floor installation include old carpet removal before install, subfloor leveling, engineered hardwood over concrete, nail-down floors over plywood subfloors and baseboard and shoe molding reinstall. PrimeCoat & Floors is also listed for carpet installation.

Worn carpet, damaged laminate, or a planned sale often prompts a switch to hardwood, especially in living rooms, hallways, and bedrooms that see daily foot traffic. Provide square footage for each room, the current flooring type, and whether stairs are included. Note if the floor sits on a concrete slab or a wood subfloor. Wood species, plank width, and solid versus engineered construction set the material cost. Subfloor repair, stairs, and pattern layouts like herringbone add labor.

Customers in Garden City and nearby areas such as Mineola, Hempstead and Williston Park can request a quote. Accepted payment methods include Apple Pay, Cash, Check, Venmo and Zelle. To get started, send PrimeCoat & Floors a request on Fixerlane with the details of your project.
