About PW Home Construction

PW Home Construction is a hardwood flooring contractor serving Chevy Chase, MD. A team of 3, the business has been operating for 24 years. Hardwood installation starts with checking the subfloor for flatness and moisture, then laying underlayment and planks in the right direction for the room. Boards are nailed, glued, or floated depending on the product, and trim is set last to cover the expansion gaps left along the walls.

Common requests for hardwood floor installation include stair tread and riser installation, nail-down floors over plywood subfloors, wide-plank flooring, baseboard and shoe molding reinstall and engineered hardwood over concrete. PW Home Construction is also listed for carpet installation, hardwood floor refinishing and interior painting.

Allergies, pets, or a desire for a floor that can be sanded and refinished later lead many homeowners to replace soft flooring with real wood. Photos of each room, the chosen wood species or product, and whether furniture moving and old floor removal are needed help an installer quote accurately. Wood species, plank width, and solid versus engineered construction set the material cost. Subfloor repair, stairs, and pattern layouts like herringbone add labor.

Customers in Chevy Chase and nearby areas such as Bethesda, Kensington and Takoma Park can request a quote. Posted hours are Monday to Saturday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Accepted payment methods include Cash, Check and Square cash app. Request a quote from PW Home Construction on Fixerlane and describe the job you need done.
