About Ragnar Floors

Ragnar Floors is a floor refinishing contractor serving Farmington, MN. The business has been operating for 26 years with a team of 4. Not every floor needs a full sand. Floors with light surface wear can often be buffed and recoated, while deep scratches, gray water damage, or a color change call for sanding to bare wood. Damaged boards may be replaced and blended in before finishing.

Common requests for hardwood floor refinishing include gap filling between boards, border and inlay refinishing, stain color change, buffing out surface scratches and refinishing floors found under old carpet.

Homeowners often refinish when uncovering hardwood under old carpet, changing the floor color, or preparing a house for sale or new occupants. Mention pets, when the rooms can be fully emptied, and whether you prefer a water-based or oil-based finish, if known. Cost depends on square footage, floor condition, whether stain is applied, the number of finish coats, and any board repairs or stairs.
