Roundy's General Handyman Services

About Roundy's General Handyman Services

Based in Gloucester, VA, Roundy's General Handyman Services works as a hardwood floor installer. The business has been operating for 13 years with a team of 2. Hardwood installation starts with checking the subfloor for flatness and moisture, then laying underlayment and planks in the right direction for the room. Boards are nailed, glued, or floated depending on the product, and trim is set last to cover the expansion gaps left along the walls.

Common requests for hardwood floor installation include old carpet removal before install, engineered hardwood over concrete, stair tread and riser installation, baseboard and shoe molding reinstall and floating hardwood floors.

Squeaky or uneven subfloors, water-damaged sections, or a remodel that opens up walls between rooms are common triggers for new hardwood installation. Photos of each room, the chosen wood species or product, and whether furniture moving and old floor removal are needed help an installer quote accurately. Wood species, plank width, and solid versus engineered construction set the material cost. Subfloor repair, stairs, and pattern layouts like herringbone add labor.

Besides Gloucester, homeowners in Shacklefords, Williamsburg and Toano can reach out for hardwood floor installation. To get started, send Roundy's General Handyman Services a request on Fixerlane with the details of your project.
