About Scott Schmid

Scott Schmid is a hardwood floor installer serving New Bedford, MA. The business has been operating for 16 years with a team of 2. Expect furniture to be moved, old flooring pulled, and the subfloor fixed where it squeaks or dips. Installation then moves room by room, with cuts around vents and door casings, followed by thresholds, stair nosing, and molding for a clean finished edge where the floor meets other surfaces.

Typical jobs for hardwood floor installation in New Bedford include baseboard and shoe molding reinstall, subfloor leveling, old carpet removal before install, stair tread and riser installation and herringbone pattern floors. Scott Schmid is also listed for house cleaning.

Squeaky or uneven subfloors, water-damaged sections, or a remodel that opens up walls between rooms are common triggers for new hardwood installation. Share the target timeline, any known squeaks or soft spots, and how rooms connect so transitions to tile, vinyl, or carpet can be planned ahead of time. Removal and disposal of old flooring, furniture moving, and trim work affect the total, along with the number of rooms, closets, and cuts involved.
