About Vicente Gonzalez Handyman

Vicente Gonzalez Handyman is a hardwood floor installer serving Anchorage, AK. A team of 3, the business has been operating for 17 years. Homeowners choose between solid hardwood, which can be sanded many times, and engineered boards, which handle basements and concrete slabs better. The installer helps match product to the space, lets the wood acclimate inside the home, and plans layouts that avoid awkward slivers at doorways and hallways.

Typical jobs for hardwood floor installation in Anchorage include unfinished floors finished on site, solid oak plank installation, herringbone pattern floors, nail-down floors over plywood subfloors and baseboard and shoe molding reinstall. Vicente Gonzalez Handyman is also listed for cabinet installation, dishwasher installation, door repair and finish carpentry.

Allergies, pets, or a desire for a floor that can be sanded and refinished later lead many homeowners to replace soft flooring with real wood. Provide square footage for each room, the current flooring type, and whether stairs are included. Note if the floor sits on a concrete slab or a wood subfloor. Wood species, plank width, and solid versus engineered construction set the material cost. Subfloor repair, stairs, and pattern layouts like herringbone add labor.
