About Watson Drywall, Painting and Remodeling

Based in Madison, TN, Watson Drywall, Painting and Remodeling works as a hardwood floor installer. The business has a team of 3. Hardwood installation starts with checking the subfloor for flatness and moisture, then laying underlayment and planks in the right direction for the room. Boards are nailed, glued, or floated depending on the product, and trim is set last to cover the expansion gaps left along the walls.

Common requests for hardwood floor installation include solid oak plank installation, engineered hardwood over concrete, nail-down floors over plywood subfloors, old carpet removal before install and baseboard and shoe molding reinstall. Watson Drywall, Painting and Remodeling is also listed for artificial turf installation, cabinet installation, carpet cleaning and carpet installation.

Squeaky or uneven subfloors, water-damaged sections, or a remodel that opens up walls between rooms are common triggers for new hardwood installation. Provide square footage for each room, the current flooring type, and whether stairs are included. Note if the floor sits on a concrete slab or a wood subfloor. Removal and disposal of old flooring, furniture moving, and trim work affect the total, along with the number of rooms, closets, and cuts involved.
