1. The blessing door
Based in San Lorenzo, CA, The blessing door works as a hardwood flooring contractor. A team of 4, the business has been operating for 12 years. Hardwood installation starts with checking the subfloor for flatness and moisture, then laying underlayment and planks in the right direction for the room. Boards are nailed, glued, or floated depending on the product, and trim is set last to cover the expansion gaps left along the walls. On their profile, The blessing door lists install type: laminate, linoleum, vinyl sheet, luxury vinyl flooring and carpet; property type: residential and commercial. Allergies, pets, or a desire for a floor that can be sanded and refinished later lead many homeowners to replace soft flooring with real wood. Photos of each room, the chosen wood species or product, and whether furniture moving and old floor removal are needed help an installer quote accurately. Wood species, plank width, and solid versus engineered construction set the material cost. Subfloor repair, stairs, and pattern layouts like herringbone add labor. Customers in San Lorenzo and nearby areas such as San Leandro, Castro Valley and Hayward can request a quote. Posted hours are Monday to Sunday. Accepted payment methods include Cash, Venmo and Zelle. Request a quote from The blessing door on Fixerlane and describe the job you need done.
