1. Ed's Tile Service
Ed's Tile Service is a tile contractor serving South Bend, IN. The business has been operating for 36 years with a team of 2. Tile work covers floors, walls, backsplashes, and showers. The installer prepares a flat, stable substrate, lays out the pattern to balance cuts at each wall, sets tile in thinset mortar, and finishes with grout and flexible caulk at inside corners and changes of plane where movement happens. Typical jobs for tile installation in South Bend include bathroom floor tile, regrouting, tub surround tiling, large-format porcelain floors and entryway tile floors. Ed's Tile Service is also listed for handyman. Hollow sounds when tapping a tile floor or mold along grout lines in a shower often mean the installation underneath needs attention. Include the layout pattern, such as straight, offset, or herringbone, and details like niches, benches, curbless entries, or trim pieces for showers. Showers and mosaics take more time than open floors. Natural stone sealing, custom niches, and many cuts around fixtures and outlets raise the price.
