1. Custom Tile and Flooring
Based in French Settlement, LA, Custom Tile and Flooring works as a hardwood floor installer. The business has been operating for 26 years with a team of 2. Expect furniture to be moved, old flooring pulled, and the subfloor fixed where it squeaks or dips. Installation then moves room by room, with cuts around vents and door casings, followed by thresholds, stair nosing, and molding for a clean finished edge where the floor meets other surfaces. Typical jobs for hardwood floor installation in French Settlement include stair tread and riser installation, nail-down floors over plywood subfloors, engineered hardwood over concrete, herringbone pattern floors and baseboard and shoe molding reinstall. Custom Tile and Flooring is also listed for carpet installation. Squeaky or uneven subfloors, water-damaged sections, or a remodel that opens up walls between rooms are common triggers for new hardwood installation. Photos of each room, the chosen wood species or product, and whether furniture moving and old floor removal are needed help an installer quote accurately. Wood species, plank width, and solid versus engineered construction set the material cost. Subfloor repair, stairs, and pattern layouts like herringbone add labor. Customers in French Settlement and nearby areas such as Prairieville, Livingston and Gonzales can request a quote. Accepted payment methods include Cash and Check.
