1. GM Restotrations
Based in Gaylord, MI, GM Restotrations works as a hardwood floor installer. The business has been operating for 20 years with a team of 4. Hardwood installation starts with checking the subfloor for flatness and moisture, then laying underlayment and planks in the right direction for the room. Boards are nailed, glued, or floated depending on the product, and trim is set last to cover the expansion gaps left along the walls. Common requests for hardwood floor installation include engineered hardwood over concrete, old carpet removal before install, solid oak plank installation, unfinished floors finished on site and wide-plank flooring. GM Restotrations is also listed for hardwood floor refinishing. Allergies, pets, or a desire for a floor that can be sanded and refinished later lead many homeowners to replace soft flooring with real wood. Photos of each room, the chosen wood species or product, and whether furniture moving and old floor removal are needed help an installer quote accurately. Wood species, plank width, and solid versus engineered construction set the material cost. Subfloor repair, stairs, and pattern layouts like herringbone add labor. Customers in Gaylord and nearby areas such as Grayling, Boyne City and East Jordan can request a quote. Posted hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. Accepted payment methods include Cash, Check, Credit card, Google Pay, PayPal and Square cash app. Request a quote from GM Restotrations on Fixerlane and describe the job you need done.
