1. Big H Remodeling
Based in Beaufort, NC, Big H Remodeling works as a hardwood floor installer. The business has been operating for 2 years with a team of 2. Hardwood installation starts with checking the subfloor for flatness and moisture, then laying underlayment and planks in the right direction for the room. Boards are nailed, glued, or floated depending on the product, and trim is set last to cover the expansion gaps left along the walls. Typical jobs for hardwood floor installation in Beaufort include transition strips and thresholds, old carpet removal before install, subfloor leveling, solid oak plank installation and unfinished floors finished on site. Big H Remodeling is also listed for carpet installation, countertop installation, hardwood floor refinishing and interior painting. Squeaky or uneven subfloors, water-damaged sections, or a remodel that opens up walls between rooms are common triggers for new hardwood installation. Photos of each room, the chosen wood species or product, and whether furniture moving and old floor removal are needed help an installer quote accurately. Removal and disposal of old flooring, furniture moving, and trim work affect the total, along with the number of rooms, closets, and cuts involved.
