1. Above Board Small Jobs
Based in Brevard, NC, Above Board Small Jobs works as a handyman service. It has been in business for 4 years. Most handyman calls start with a quick walkthrough of the task list, followed by a check of the tools and materials each item needs. Jobs are then worked in a sensible order, with dust control and cleanup at the end, leaving the homeowner with finished repairs instead of half-done weekend projects. Common requests for handyman work include furniture assembly, grab bar installation, baseboard and trim touch-ups, loose door hinge repair and replacing light fixtures. Above Board Small Jobs is also listed for cabinet installation, dishwasher installation, door repair and exterior painting. Doors that will not close, dents in drywall, peeling bathroom caulk, and shelves that wobble under weight are typical triggers for a general repair call. Mention whether parts such as light fixtures, shelves, curtain rods, or cabinet hardware are already purchased or will need to be picked up before the visit. Handyman pricing usually depends on the number of tasks on the list, the time each one takes, and whether materials must be supplied or are already on hand. Customers in Brevard and nearby areas such as Rosman, Pisgah Forest and Zirconia can request a quote. Posted hours are Monday and Saturday. Accepted payment methods include Apple Pay, Cash, Credit card, PayPal, Venmo and Zelle. To get started, send Above Board Small Jobs a request on Fixerlane with the details of your project.
