1. Giovanni's Carpentry
Giovanni's Carpentry is a hardwood flooring contractor serving North Bergen, NJ. The business has been operating for 11 years. Expect furniture to be moved, old flooring pulled, and the subfloor fixed where it squeaks or dips. Installation then moves room by room, with cuts around vents and door casings, followed by thresholds, stair nosing, and molding for a clean finished edge where the floor meets other surfaces. Common requests for hardwood floor installation include floating hardwood floors, solid oak plank installation, nail-down floors over plywood subfloors, herringbone pattern floors and unfinished floors finished on site. Giovanni's Carpentry is also listed for handyman, pressure washing and window installation. Worn carpet, damaged laminate, or a planned sale often prompts a switch to hardwood, especially in living rooms, hallways, and bedrooms that see daily foot traffic. Provide square footage for each room, the current flooring type, and whether stairs are included. Note if the floor sits on a concrete slab or a wood subfloor. Wood species, plank width, and solid versus engineered construction set the material cost. Subfloor repair, stairs, and pattern layouts like herringbone add labor. Customers in North Bergen and nearby areas such as West New York, Weehawken and Union City can request a quote. Posted hours are Monday to Sunday, 6:00 am to 9:00 pm. Accepted payment methods include Cash, Check and Zelle. To get started, send Giovanni's Carpentry a request on Fixerlane with the details of your project.
