1. Absolute Wood Floors
Absolute Wood Floors provides hardwood floor refinishing in Northport, NY. A team of 6, the business has been operating for 13 years. Before any sanding in Northport, furniture comes out, adjoining rooms are sealed off, and dust containment goes up. After sanding and vacuuming, stain and finish coats go down with drying between each, and the rooms stay off limits until the finish has cured. Typical jobs for hardwood floor refinishing in Northport include carpet adhesive residue removal, border and inlay refinishing, buff and recoat, stair tread refinishing and oil-based polyurethane finish. Dark pet stains, boards that feel rough underfoot, and a dull finish that cleaning no longer brightens suggest a sand or recoat. Mention pets, when the rooms can be fully emptied, and whether you prefer a water-based or oil-based finish, if known. Cost depends on square footage, floor condition, whether stain is applied, the number of finish coats, and any board repairs or stairs. Besides Northport, homeowners in Greenlawn, East Northport and Huntington can reach out for hardwood floor refinishing.
