Hardwood installation starts with checking the subfloor for flatness and moisture, then laying underlayment and planks in the right direction for the room. Boards are nailed, glued, or floated depending on the product, and trim is set last to cover the expansion gaps left along the walls. Typical jobs for hardwood floor installation in Woods Cross include solid oak plank installation, stair tread and riser installation, herringbone pattern floors, transition strips and thresholds and wide-plank flooring. Mountain View renovations is also listed for carpet installation, countertop installation, handyman and hardwood floor refinishing. Squeaky or uneven subfloors, water-damaged sections, or a remodel that opens up walls between rooms are common triggers for new hardwood installation. Provide square footage for each room, the current flooring type, and whether stairs are included. Note if the floor sits on a concrete slab or a wood subfloor. Wood species, plank width, and solid versus engineered construction set the material cost. Subfloor repair, stairs, and pattern layouts like herringbone add labor.
