How a remodeling week runs in Fixerlane

From the in-home visit to a written estimate

Write the estimate by room and by trade from your price book — demo, framing, tile, fixtures — and send it as a PDF with your logo before the homeowner has called the next contractor.

Quoting →

Good, better, best on one quote

Offer the stock vanity and the custom one, or tile to the ceiling as an option, so the homeowner chooses the scope instead of asking for a second estimate. They approve and sign online, with no account to create.

Quoting →

A deposit that fits your state’s rules

Set the deposit on each quote as a fixed amount or a share of the total. Where your state caps the down payment, enter the capped amount and the homeowner pays it by card when they approve.

Invoicing →

A project is many visits

Demo day, rough-in, inspection, tile, trim-out: each is a visit on the same job, assigned to the right crew, with gate codes, pets and where to park on the property.

Scheduling →

Photos and hours on every day of the job

Crews clock in on the visit and add photos of what is behind the wall before it is closed up. Expenses and job costing show whether the bathroom made money once the tile was paid for.

Invoice the balance and get paid

Raise the invoice from the job, record what has already been paid, take a card payment through Stripe, and let overdue reminders chase the final balance.

Software that also finds you the work

Most remodeling software assumes you already have the customers. Fixerlane is also where homeowners look for a pro: claim your free listing and people searching for remodeling near them can find you, call you and send you an enquiry. The listing and the leads stay free, whether or not you ever pay for the tools.

A remodeling quote, line by line

Quote in the units the work is actually measured in, with quantities that are not rounded into drift. A starter remodeling price list comes with the price book — change every price to your own before you send anything.

What Fixerlane does not do yet

Listed here rather than discovered after you sign up:

  • Change orders — send a separate quote for the extra work and have it approved online; there is no change-order document that rolls into the original contract
  • Progress or milestone billing — you raise each invoice against the job yourself; nothing bills on a payment schedule
  • Selections and allowances for fixtures and finishes
  • Plan takeoffs, 3D floor plans or design tools
  • Consumer financing for homeowners

One price, the whole crew

Fixerlane is $19.99 a month or $149.99 a year, with no charge per user. Fixerlane + AI is $29.99 a month and adds an assistant that drafts quotes, schedules visits and answers questions about your business. Both start with a 7-day free trial.

Common questions

What is remodeling contractor software?
Software that runs the business side of a remodel: the estimate, the deposit, the schedule of visits, the crew’s hours, the photos and the final invoice. It is not a design tool — Fixerlane does not draw floor plans or 3D renders.
Does it handle change orders?
Not as a separate document yet. Today you send a new quote for the extra work, the homeowner approves it online, and it becomes its own job and invoice. We would rather say so here than have you find out mid-project.
Can I take a deposit before work starts?
Yes. Set a deposit on each quote, as an amount or a percentage, and the homeowner can pay it by card when they approve. Because it is set per quote, you can match any state cap on down payments.
Can I run several projects at once?
Yes. Each project is a job with its own visits, crew, photos and costs, and the schedule shows every crew’s week side by side.
Does it suit large renovations?
It fits kitchen, bath, basement and smaller remodels best. If your projects need progress billing, change orders and subcontractor management on every job, Fixerlane does not do those yet.
Is there an app for remodelers?
Yes — iPhone, Android and the web on one account, with no per-user charge for crew members. The app works on a site with no signal and catches up later.
How will homeowners find me?
Claim your free Fixerlane listing. Homeowners searching for remodeling in your city see it and message you through it. The listing and the leads stay free whether or not you pay for the tools.
